Design and Construction

The project consists of two parts: reconstruction of the seminary and the construction of a mosque, which was designed based on original patterns and the language of historical architecture. The mosque was designed based on the model of the mosque without a yard with Chalipa plan and all the main spaces of mosque including Shabestan, Gonbad-Khaneh, Maqsoureh, School, and Hashi. It’s also attempted to calculate and implement the modern structural methods and techniques matching with the historical methods of the structure.

The result was a dome of 23 meters wide and four half-domes with a 10-meter span, which covers a 43 x 43 meter area with a pattern of Karbandi to restore this decorative structure method.
