[Responsible for Rehabilitation Design]

Rey Cement Factory is the first example of an industrial areas in Tehran, which started its executive operations in 1933. The factory started producing cement by expanding the halls and construction areas until 1983. Until it was taken out of the production cycle due to the development of the urban fabric in its vicinity and the increase in environmental pollution.

The aim of the competition was to revive the abandoned factory as a new social space in the heart of the historical context of the city. Designers taking into account the historic agricultural landscape of the region and the growing needs of the residents of Tehran and surrounding cities, turned the abandoned factory into an innovative & unique greenhouse for organic production.
